I am a communication designer who crafts in the space where innovation meets empathy. My practice is centered on the notion that all design is inextricably linked to its context, thus I create objects, art, systems and services that compliment the nuances of the human condition and meld harmoniously with their environment. As a creative, I am a mix of ‘community builder, designer, entrepreneur and activist’1, concerned with design as a catalyst for change; whether social, emotional or environmental. “No Care For Carers” tackles the systemic lack of support available to the primary carers of children with disability in Victoria, and the varied socio-emotional barriers preventing their engagement with aid services. Motivated by the profound joys and challenges of having a younger brother with disability, I have developed a support system founded on compassion and adaptability; flexible enough to conform to the unique experience of each carer and child. 1Bernard Caniffe, foreword to Developing Citizen Designers, by Elizabeth Resnick (New York; Bloomsbury Publishing Plc, 2016)
