Louis Grope, Commonwealth Vol.1. Publication design: Ink on paper, perfect bound, aerosol, 2018. First edition mockup. In collaboration with Lachlan Curtin-Corr.
Taking direct inspiration from the world in which we live and the constantly shifting environment, my design practise evolves but also remains firmly planted in actuality. The main objective being a space in which creatives from all walks are able to collaborate and feed off each others imaginations and therefore growing and learning in the process.
My practise explores relationships and the ever changing tides of culture that we live a breath everyday through both experience and tactile objects. Things that people are able to hold onto and reflect on through different stages of their futures. This work applies itself through but not limited to; publication design, print, experience design as well as facets of other design fields. The intention behind Commonwealth is to create an annual collaborative publication that meshes respective creative outlets whether it being designers or artists in order to showcase their work within and beyond the community in which we live and breathe.
