I am a strategy focussed communication designer. I use design as a tool to influence the way something is perceived by particular audiences. The strategy part of design is what I enjoy the most; figuring out how design can create value for a brand and how it can aid in communicating a message. I’ve found that I gravitate towards more tangible things; I love all things print. Forget Wesfarmers, the only stock I’ll be investing in is paper. Love me some nice paper. My project, Makers’ Journal, is a compilation of conversations with creatives from a variety of disciplines. I’ve always been intrigued by the creative process. It’s inherently vague and non-linear. Through this magazine, I wanted to gain insight into other people’s approach to the creative process, and the value of it, too.
