I draw together the best of my skills to deliver engaging aesthetics and messaging. I intersect these through design and photography: creating coherent works that are visually beautiful while commenting on cultural issues. I understand, and play with, the role of photography and design as essential to commercial practice: branding, campaign, advertising. My aim is to create works that are beautiful: that can carry messages and critique ideas. My work tries to the squeeze between the gaps of high art and popular taste to highlight the tensions, the codes of beauty and norms they both share. Through my practice, I intend to look at - and in turn break down - cultural norms, ideas and ideals. I engage with cultural history and draw on those references to shine a light on the tensions and the myth-making. Fundamental to me is alignment with both the contemporary landscape of creative convergence and distinctive commercial application.
