In the most basic description, I would describe myself as a creative. I enjoy making and appreciating art and design. As a professional I would call myself a graphic artist, print-maker and designer. I use image-making and typography as a way of exploring and communicating varying themes that I am interested in, for example feminism, mythology and environmental issues. My practice consist of image-making for print, publication and packaging design, using visual communication to present my own interpretation of on-going issues, such as gender, ethical and environmental. My project is combining illustration and design to create a series of printed stationery, such as postcards, notebooks and invitations. I want to encourage people to write more to each other rather than just communicating through text and social media. I explored print-making in creating this project.
