Handle with Care

Kind Heart Cult
Textile: Digital print on fabric, 2019.

I'm a Illustrator, designer and writer. I use image making as a tool for exploring narrative and identity. My practice is situated at an intersection of digital and textile design, and I find inspiration by abstracting everyday life, attempting to transform the mundane and foster intrigue into the world around us. My project 'Kind Heart Cult' is a series of textile designs. Negative self talk is a common problem, and my goal with this project is to promote messages of self care and love. By opposing a charged word such as cult with wholesome and kind messaging I injected humour and playfulness into the work, elements I find people can really connect to, and are some of the most enjoyable aspects of design for me.
