I'm a communication designer focusing on illustration design, and I use visual communication as an analytical tool.
My practice is made up of publication design and illustration in order to explore the culture of traditional east Asian 24 solar terms. The Chinese culture divides the four seasons into 24 solar terms. The solar term system has been in use for several thousands of years in China, and effects the basic needs of billions of people.
"24 Solar Terms" is a series of illustrated icons that visualise the changes in climate, natural phenomena, and agricultural production. The work has been designed with a simple line art, in order to help people become acquainted with the culture of solar terms.
